Not only just as dipping but also to spice up seafood to chicken to steak, or stew.  And making this sauce is really simple; all you need to do is grab the ingredients, and you can make this sauce in a few minutes.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup datil peppers,

  • 1 cup tomato paste/sauce

  • 2tablespoon apple cider vinegar

  • Half lemon juice

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1teaspoon pepper

  • Salt as per taste

  • Water as much needed

  • Saucepan

  • Blender machine/hand blender

  • Spatula

  • Airtight container/glass jar

how to make Datil Pepper Sauce

  • Preparation: Rinse well the dati pepper, pat dry, and chop them finely. Make a tomato puree, or if you want to use tomato sauce, heat and reduce it.

  • Cook The Sauce: Turn on the stove, put a large saucepan, and add 1 cup of tomato paste. Next, add all the spices one by one. 1 teaspoon garlic powder or minced garlic, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon pepper, and salt as per need. Now cook it in medium to high heat until it boils.

  • Add Other Ingredients: When the sauce comes to a boil, add one tablespoon of honey, two tablespoons of white vinegar or apple cider vinegar, and half lemon juice. Give it a stir and let it simmer for 5 minutes.

  • Add The Datil Pepper: Finally, add the finely chopped datil pepper, mix well and reduce the heat. Cook it for 20 minutes or until the datil becomes soft in low to medium heat.

  • Blend It: Once the sauce is well cooked, turn off the stove and let it chill for a few minutes. Then transfer the sauce into a blender and blend it until the sauce becomes smooth.
    While blending the sauce, run the machine for 40 seconds, add a little bit of water and run again.
    Continue this until you get your smooth and thick datil pepper sauce.

  •  Store It: Once blending is done, pour the mixture into an air-tight container or glass jar and store it in the fridge. You can store this datil pepper sauce in the refrigerator for up to 4 months. When you want to eat the sauce, use a spoon and take out as much as you need. Avoid dipping your hand into the sauce.
